ANNOUNCEMENTS

  1. DIVINE LITURGY CHANGE FOR HARVEST DINNER ONLY!

On Sunday, November 12th, the day of our Harvest Dinner, the Divine Liturgy will be changed to 10:30AM.  The Harvest Dinner will take place following the liturgy.  This is only for that Sunday.

  • Home Baked Desserts Needed for Fall Dinner

We are in need of desserts for our dinner on Sun. Nov. 12th.  If you are able to help, please call or text Daria @ (570) 430-1001.   Desserts can be dropped off at the hall on Saturday or Sunday, before Liturgy.  Thanks in advance!

  • Texas Roadhouse Gift Card Fundraiser

Orders are being taken for gift cards between Nov. 4th and Nov. 26th.  Available in $5 increments up to $100. Free appetizer voucher with each gift card.  Order forms located by bulletins or see Daria if you need one.   • Collection for Insurance next Weekend

A reminder that Donations toward our Insurance Costs can be made next weekend, November 18th & 19th.  Please use the specially marked envelope in your collection packet.  Thank you for your generous support of our Parish.

Parish envelopes are being prepared shortly for 2024.  If you have not registered or received a box for 2023, and would like to have one please contact Jean Pedley.  Please understand that if no envelopes were used for 2023, none will be issued for 2024 in order to keep envelope costs to a minimum.  Thank you for your understanding. 

  • Six-month Lottery Calendar in Simpson

Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Simpson will be sponsoring a six-month lottery calendar.  Each $20 calendar includes 2 numbers for the pick-3 evening drawing of the Pennsylvania Lottery.  Prizes include $25 on weekdays, $40 on Sundays and five $100 prizes.  Calendars purchased by check will be mailed to return address.  Make checks payable to Ss.   • Holodomor Commemoration this Sunday in Jenkintown

The Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center presents HOLODOMOR Ukrainian Famine Genocide 90th Anniversary Commemoration this Sunday, November 12th at 3:00pm.  Special presentation by Michael Sawkiw, Jr., “When We Starve” Documentary, Musical performance by Ensemble Verba, Original Poem by Vera Hobitska, Holodomor Food Drive.  Admission by Donation!  The Center is located at 700 Cedar Road in Jenkintown.

  • Ukrainian Christmas Bazaar next Sunday in Philadelphia

2023 Ukrainian Christmas Bazaar at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 808 N. Franklin St. in Philadelphia, next Sunday, November 19th, from 10:00am – 4:00pm.  Homemade Food/Pastries, Gifts & Vendors, Crafts & Music, Flea Market, Cathedral Tours, Turkey Door prizes.  Admission $2, Kids under 10 Free.  See St. Nicholas.  Shop, Eat and Win Prizes!

  • Holodomor Presentation Ceremony Wednesday in Harrisburg

Ukrainian Holodomor-Genocide 1932-33 presentation Ceremony.  PA Governor’s proclamation and PA General Assembly’s resolutions.  Wednesday, November 15th at 12:00 Noon.  Senate East Wing, Pennsylvania State Capitol Building, 501 N. 3rd St, Harrisburg.  Holodomor-Genocide Exhibit at the Fountain Area of the Capitol Building.  At its height, Soviet Russia’s artificial Famine-Genocide claimed the lives of 28,000 Ukrainians each day.

  1. Christmas Flea Market in Nanticoke

Holy Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church, 240 Center St in Nanticoke will be holding a Christmas Flea Market on Friday, November 17, Saturday, November 18, Saturday, November 25 & Saturday, December 2 from 9am to 2pm.  Ukrainian Basket Raffle.  Eat-in Ethnic Foods will be available.  Pyrohy for Sale.  Potato Pancakes on selected weekends.  Christmas Ornaments, Christmas Trees, Nativity sets and a variety of Christmas Decor.  Also, great variety of Flea Market items and Furniture.  Great prices!  Great food!
