According to the Sacred Tradition of the Church, when Mary was three years old, her pious parents, Joachim and Anna had brought their child Mary to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.  At that time, the priest of the Old Testament who received the child Mary was Zachary, the father of St. John the Baptist.  Sacred tradition has it that the Blessed Virgin Mary stayed in the dedicated temple life until the age of fifteen.  Mary from an early age dedicated Her entire life to the service of the Lord God.  She prayed frequently and devoutly.  She had a sincere love for neighbor and loved poverty and shared with the poor, those in need.  She embodied the perfection of a virtuous life and became a shining example for others to follow.  Please come to Church on this Holy Day to honor the Mother of God.
