  1. PYROHY PICK UP SCHEDULE

Pick up times for our first pyrohy sale will be SATURDAY,  NOV 4.  from 2:30pm. until 10 minutes before the 4:00pm Litugy and after Liturgies on both Saturday and Sunday in the church hall. If you did not place your order, call Leslie today at 570.342.3749.   * Limited availability *   First call / first served.  No limits.

  • AUTUMN HARVEST DINNER SCHEDULED

St. Vladimir Church will be sponsoring it’s Autumn Harvest Roast Beef Dinner on SUNDAY. NOV. 12 in the parish center.  This will be a sit down dinner with takeout option available.  The menu consists of roast beef, mashed potato, gravy, hot vegetable, dinner roll w/ butter, and dessert.  Cost: $20.00.  By advance order only!  Reservations must be in no later than MONDAY. NOV. 6.   Call Maria at 570. 503. 1514.   Don’t delay! Call today! 50/50 and Basket Raffles available!    Special guests will be in attendance!   Ukrainian soldiers currently being rehabilitated in Philadelphia for injuries sustained in combat will be joining us that day.  Please plan to attend and show your support for these brave men.  See you there!

  • DIVINE LITURGY CHANGE FOR HARVEST DINNER ONLY!

On Sunday, November 12th, the day of our Harvest Dinner, the Divine Liturgy will be changed to 10:30AM.  The Harvest Dinner will take place following the liturgy.  This is only for that Sunday.

  • Turkey Dinners available after Liturgy

Fr. Myron has brought back Turkey Dinners from Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church annual Turkey Fest Dinner event in Wilkes-Barre this weekend.  These are available for Sale in our Hall for $15.00.  Fresh!  NOT frozen.  Stop by after Liturgy to Purchase these delicious Dinners.

  • Holy Day on Wednesday

St. Michael the Archangel Holy Day is this Wednesday, November 8th.  Divine Liturgy will be held at 9:00am.  St. Michael the Archangel is the leader of all Angels and of the Army of God.  He has four main responsibilities or offices, as we know from Scripture and Christian Tradition.  The first is to combat Satan.  The second is to escort the faithful to Heaven at their hour of death.  The third is to be a Champion of all Christians, and the Church itself.  And the fourth is to call men from life on Earth to their heavenly Judgement.  Today, St. Michael is invoked for Protection, especially from lethal enemies.  He is also the patron of soldiers, police and doctors. Please come to Church on this Holy Day to Honor this special Saint.

  • Soup and Bake Sale next Saturday in Berwick

Ss. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Berwick will be holding a Soup and Bake Sale next Saturday, Nov. 11th, 10:00am-2:00pm.  Chicken Noodle, Beef Vegetable, Italian Wedding, and Halushki.  $6 per quart.  Call Sally: 570-441-5695 to order.  The Church is located at 706 Warren St. in Berwick.

  • Curbside Carryout next Saturday in Mt. Carmel

Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Mt. Carmel will be holding a Curbside Carryout next Saturday, Nov. 11th, 11:00am until sold out.  Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Smoked Brisket Platter with Cole Slaw and Baked Beans, Vegetable Beef Soup.  The Church is located at 131 Beech St. in Mt. Carmel.

  • Home Baked Desserts Needed for Fall Dinner

We are in need of desserts for our dinner on Sun. Nov. 12th.  If you are able to help, please call or text Daria @ (570) 430-1001.   Desserts can be dropped off at the hall on Saturday or Sunday, before Liturgy.  Thanks in advance!

Orders are being taken for gift cards between Nov. 4th and Nov. 26th.  Available in $5 increments up to $100. Free appetizer voucher with each gift card.  Order forms located by bulletins or see Daria if you need one.   1. THEME BASKETS NEEDED

The fast-approaching Harvest Dinner Sunday, November 12th 2023 is in need of theme baskets for our raffle. Please consider creating one or donating cash towards having one put together. We are asking for baskets donations to be in by November 5, 2023. Kristen Waznak is coordinating this popular project and is available to offer ideas, suggestions, and hands-on assistance. She can be reached at 570-241-1223. Thank you for your participation and generosity in making this popular fundraiser another success.

  1. Parish envelopes

Parish envelopes are being prepared shortly for 2024.  If you have not registered or received a box for 2023, and would like to have one please contact Jean Pedley.  Please understand that if no envelopes were used for 2023, none will be issued for 2024 in order to keep envelope costs to a minimum.  Thank you for your understanding. 

  1. Six-month Lottery Calendar in Simpson

Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Simpson will be sponsoring a six-month lottery calendar.  Each $20 calendar includes 2 numbers for the pick-3 evening drawing of the Pennsylvania Lottery.  Prizes include $25 on weekdays, $40 on Sundays and five $100 prizes.  Calendars purchased by check will be mailed to return address.  Make checks payable to Ss.
